WHAT IS OMEGA 3?
Omega 3 is the name for the family of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids found most abundantly in fish. Fish oil is an ideal source of eicosapentaenoic (EPA) acid and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Omega 3 has been found to support brain, vision and heart function as well as useful during pregnancy. DHA has a key structural element to the brain, retina and many other body parts.

For optimal health, there is an omega 6 to omega 3 ratio that should be adhered to. Omega 6 is generally more abundant in a typical western diet and is considered to be pro-inflammatory when combined with low omega 3 status.
